Four-month absence for Lamont

Scotland winger Rory Lamont is facing a four-month spell on the sidelines with a broken leg.

The 29-year-old underwent successful surgery to stabilise the injury yesterday afternoon.

"Rory is comfortable," said Scotland team doctor James Robson. "His convalescence will get under way at once. Injuries of this nature require typically three to four months of rehabilitation.

"We all wish Rory a speedy recovery."

Lamont has won 29 caps for Scotland.
