New Zealand winger Waisake Naholo to miss Rugby World Cup

New Zealand winger Waisake Naholo is ruled out of the Rugby World Cup due to a broken leg.

New Zealand winger Waisake Naholo has been ruled out of the Rugby World Cup after suffering a broken leg on his Test debut.

The 24-year-old sustained the problem during the All Blacks' 39-18 win over Argentina in the Rugby Championship on Friday.

Naholo is expected to be sidelined for around three months.

"It's pretty disappointing for him and for us," coach Steve Hansen is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We're all a bit shocked by it because he was weight-bearing on it and he looked pretty good."

New Zealand start the defence of their Rugby World Cup crown on September 20 when they face Argentina at Wembley Stadium.
