McCaw thankful for 100th cap

All Blacks captain Richie McCaw paid thanks to his teammates and fans after earning his 100th Test cap in New Zealand's 37-17 victory over France today.

"You can't do it without the support of your mates that you play with and all the people that have supported me every minute I've got to play in the jersey," he said.

Although McCaw admits that the sport is a team game, he acknowledged that his milestone is a special feat.

"I don't like to put individual achievements ahead of the team, but to do it in-front of your home crowd, at a World Cup, playing against the French, I couldn't think of anything better," he added.

McCaw made his New Zealand debut in 2001 and has gone on to represent them in three World Cups.
