Cruden expected to miss Rugby World Cup

New Zealand fly-half Aaron Cruden is expected to miss the Rugby World Cup due to a serious knee injury.

The 26-year-old damaged cruciate knee ligaments while playing for Waikato Chiefs on the weekend.

He will now undergo reconstruction surgery before spending the next six months out of action.

Cruden, who has won 37 international caps, was part of the All Blacks squad that won the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
