Wigan Warriors fightback downs Huddersfield Giants

Wigan Warriors recover from a slow start to beat Huddersfield Giants 30-22 in their Super 8s match.

Wigan Warriors have come from behind to beat Huddersfield Giants 30-22 in their Super 8s clash this evening.

Jermaine McGillvary scored two tries in the opening 12 minutes to give the visitors a commanding start to the match.

Liam Farrell then went over for the hosts just before the break and early tries in the second half from Dominic Manfredi and George Williams saw them open up an eight-point lead.

Just past the hour mark a try from Jack Hughes and Danny Brough's subsequent conversion helped Huddersfield to close the gap, but Larne Patrick soon went over for Wigan, with Matty Smith adding his fourth successful kick of the night.

The visitors were not finished and Eorl Crabtree gave them hope once again, but Dom Crosby added a try three minutes from the end to wrap up the victory for his side.
