Shaun Wane targeting winning run for Wigan Warriors

Shaun Wane wants to see his Wigan Warriors side string together a winning run between now and the end of the season, starting with tonight's clash against Salford.

Shaun Wane has challenged his Wigan Warriors players to go the rest of the Super League season unbeaten.

The Cherry and Whites let slip a narrow half-time lead to fall 30-14 in their last outing against leaders St Helens - a performance Wane was quick to criticise.

Warriors have three home matches in the run-up to the Super-8s, including tonight's clash against Salford Red Devils, with just three points between them and top spot.

Asked if going the remainder of the term unbeaten was feasible, Wane is quoted by Wigan Today as saying: "Absolutely. We showed when we played Leeds, they were the best team in the comp' and we ground them down and performed.

"We're not consistently performing. We went to Catalans and everything was great in prep', and then we turned up with that [underwhelming performance]. For us, it's about finding the DNA where we don't dip under certain standards."

Wigan follow up this evening's match against Salford with a trip to take on Warrington Wolves.
