Shaun Wane agrees new Wigan Warriors contract

Wigan Warriors head coach Shaun Wane agrees a new contract, the club confirm.

Wigan Warriors have announced that head coach Shaun Wane has agreed a new contract at the club.

Owner and chairman Ian Lenagan has confirmed that Wane agreed an extension for 2014 ahead of Saturday's Challenge Cup final against Hull at Wembley.

"We are all delighted that Shaun will be with us again next season," Lenagan told the club's official website. "Shaun has done everything we have asked of him, and as far as we are concerned, it would have been silly not to take up the option.

"We can all see the input he's made on the team and the way the players have responded to having Shaun as the head coach."

Wane became head coach of the club in October 2011.
