Joel Tomkins makes Wigan Warriors squad

Joel Tomkins has been included in the Wigan Warriors squad for Thursday evening's Super League match against Salford.

The centre returned to the DW Stadium last month following a three-year stint in rugby union with Saracens.

However, a back injury has meant that he has not been able to make his second debut for the Warriors since he re-signed.

His inclusion within Shaun Wane's most recent 19-man squad, though, would suggest that he is on the verge of restarting his career with the club that he first appeared for at the age of 18.
