Tony Smith: 'Warrington Wolves will learn lessons from Leeds Rhinos defeat'

Warrington Wolves head coach Tony Smith insists that his players will quickly learn lessons from their Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to Leeds Rhinos on Saturday.

Tony Smith is adamant that Warrington Wolves will not lose motivation following defeat against Leeds Rhinos in today's Challenge Cup semi-final.

The Wire, who bowed out of the competition with a 24-16 loss at Langtree Park, are back in Super League action next weekend when they take on Castleford Tigers.

"I don't think I'll have too much trouble, they'll be motivated," head coach Smith is quoted as saying by the Warrington Guardian. "We're disappointed with some of our performance and the way we started that game.

"We didn't build a platform to the game and I think it'll be quite easy in going out and getting the players focused on going out and changing.

"They're very good as a group at reacting to and learning lessons. As a team we always learn our lessons, from the hardest days we've had a pretty hard day there today in terms of lessons learned."

Warrington are currently fifth in the Super League table.
