Warrington Wolves captain Adrian Morley will miss the next eight weeks while recovering from surgery to repair a torn biceps muscle.

Adrian Morley has been ruled out for at least eight weeks after tearing his biceps earlier this month.

The Warrington Wolves captain has undergone surgery to repair the muscle, which was injured early in the 24-16 win over Catalans Dragons on Friday.

Coach Tony Smith told BBC Sport: "He's had to have an operation on his bicep so he's going to be missing for eight weeks, maybe longer."

The 35-year-old was also hampered by injury last season, but was able to lead the side to the Grand Final for the first time.
