Huddersfield Giants ease past Leeds Rhinos

Huddersfield Giants have made it four wins from five matches in the Super League with a 40-18 triumph over Leeds Rhinos at the Johm Smith's Stadium.

An eventful first half saw Luke Robinson and Liam Sutcliffe exchange tries in the opening 15 minutes before Shaun Lunt and Aaron Murphy both went over to put the Giants in control.

Ben Jones-Bishop then responded by touching down for the Rhinos, but Brett Ferres scored on the stroke of half time for Huddersfield.

Danny Brough added six points with the boot compared to four from Zak Hardaker as the hosts took a 22-12 lead at the break.

Leroy Cudjoe then touched down on the hour mark to put Huddersfield in control, before Sutcliffe scored his second try of the match.

However, Scott Grix sealed the win by going over two minutes from time, while Brough kicked over four more points for the hosts.
