Huddersfield Giants 22-32 Warrington Wolves

Warrington Wolves claim a 32-22 victory over Huddersfield Giants at the Galpharm Stadium.

Warrington Wolves have claimed a 32-22 victory over Huddersfield Giants at the Galpharm Stadium.

The visitors took the lead within the first minute as Chris Riley was able to touch down. However, Lee Briers was unable to add the extras.

The Giants got off the mark 15 minutes later thanks to Danny Brough's try. The halfback stepped up to kick the goal and put his side 6-4 in front.

It got better for Huddersfield five minutes later when Eorl Crabtree went over for his side's second try of the match. Brough was again on target with the goal to double his side's lead.

However, the Wolves hit back quickly as Riley bagged his second try of the match, but Briers was again off-target with the kick as the score stood at 12-8.

Warrington went in ahead at the break courtesy of Chris Bridge's try. Briers was successful with his kick to give his side a 14-12 lead at the break.

Jason Chan touched down early in the second half for the home side, but Brough was wayward with the goal to leave the score at 16-14.

While Huddersfield continued to put pressure on their opponents in an ill-tempered second period, two tries in quick succession from Joel Monaghan and substitute Matty Blyth, both converted by Briers, gave the away side a 26-16 lead.

Greg Eden edged Huddersfield closer with a try on the hour as Brough kicked between the posts to close the gap to four points.

Despite the hosts' resurgence, Richard Myler's try with five minutes to play, kicked over by Briers, secured the 32-22 win.
