Huddersfield Giants 17-16 St Helens

Luke George ran in three times to help Huddersfield Giants edge out St Helens by a single point this afternoon.

George claimed his first try of the match in the 17th minute, only for Lee Gaskell and Jonny Lomax to score tries of their own later in the half to give St Helens the lead. Lomax followed those two efforts up by scoring the resultant goals.

George completed his trio of tries after the break, both of which were followed up with kicks between the posts by Danny Brough.

Ade Gardner added a late try for visiting St Helens, but they were unable to find the extra points to avoid defeat.
