Mason leaves Huddersfield Giants

Huddersfield Giants prop Keith Mason has parted company with the club.

The former St Helens star had fallen behind Craig Kopczak, Stuart Fielden, Anthony Mullally and Akuma Ta'ai in the John Smith's Stadium pecking order, but the Super League outfit did not divulge the reason for his exit.

"Huddersfield Giants can confirm that Keith Mason left the club on October 4. The matter is in the hands of solicitors and, therefore, the club will not be making any further comment at this time," the club said in a statement.

Mason was a member of the Huddersfield Giants side that reached the final of the 2009 Challenge Cup.

He has been linked with a return to one of his former sides, Wakefield.
