Brett Ferres banned for five matches

Huddersfield Giants forward Brett Ferres is handed a five-match ban following a dangerous throw on Jonny Lomax during his side's match against St Helens at the weekend.

Brett Ferres has been handed a five-match ban after being sent off during Huddersfield Giants' defeat to St Helens at the weekend.

The forward was dismissed for a dangerous throw on Jonny Lomax during the 17-16 Challenge Cup loss on Sunday.

At his disciplinary tribunal today, the 27-year-old pleaded guilty, resulting in a £300 fine as well as the suspension.

Ferres has featured in seven Super League matches for the Giants this season.
