Eorl Crabtree: 'Huddersfield Giants capable of winning Super League title'

Huddersfield Giants forward Eorl Crabtree backs the team to mount a serious challenge for this season's Super League title.

Eorl Crabtree has claimed that Huddersfield Giants are in a good position to win this season's Super League title.

Victory over Castleford Tigers at home tomorrow night would put the Giants on the brink of the semi-finals.

Crabtree believes that the strength of the squad at the John Smith's Stadium means that Huddersfield are capable of lifting some silverware this year.

"This is the best group I've played in," the prop, 32, is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We've got some of the best individuals and it's a well-rounded group with more strength in depth.

"We're in a position now where the players can actually go on and do something. It's taken a while to get to that stage. I think we've improved year after year and now we're ready to make that next step, which is winning a major trophy. That's what we're aspiring to do."

Huddersfield have won four of their last five matches in Super League.
