Huddersfield Giants announce that captain Danny Brough has signed a fresh five-year contract with the club.

Huddersfield Giants have announced that captain Danny Brough has signed a new five-year contract.

The 30-year-old has been singled out by head coach Paul Anderson, who believes that the half-back will play a big part in his future plans for the club.

"Danny's form is clear for everyone to see this year, I enjoy working with him as captain and it's great news that he is here for the long haul," Anderson told the club's official website.

"I think we both share common goals regarding what we can achieve at this club and having a half back of Danny's quality is a huge boost to us."

Brough added: "I probably could have moved on but why would I want to? I never asked my manager to explore that route as I have the opportunity here to win trophies."

Brough signed for the club in 2010.
