Paul Anderson: 'We should learn next opponent sooner'

Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson is unhappy that the team will not know who they are playing in the Super League playoff semi-finals until Sunday.

Paul Anderson has spoken out over the three-day wait for the Huddersfield Giants to find out who they will face in the Super League playoff semi-final next week.

The Giants thrashed Hull FC 76-18 last night, but will not learn who their next opponent is until Sunday.

The coach told Sky Sports News: "I couldn't care less who we're playing, I'd just like to know now who it is so that we can plan and get things going.

"I think having to wait until Sunday is crackers. You know you're playing Thursday or Friday but are you training Sunday or are you training Monday, and when do the players have their day of rest?

"When do I start looking at Wigan or Warrington, watching them for tips and things like that? We can't change it, I'm just glad I can moan about it."

Huddersfield, who finished at the top of the table during the regular season, have never appeared in the Grand Final.
