McGoldrick given two-match ban

Castleford Tigers' Ryan McGoldrick has been given a two-match ban by the Rugby Football League after he was found guilty of the illegal use of the forearm/elbow during his side's win over Widnes Vikings on Monday.

The stand-off has been punished for the grade B offence after an incident involving the Vikings' Steve Pickersgill in the 36-12 victory.

The 31-year-old has also been fined £300 by the RFL's disciplinary committee.

McGoldrick will miss his team's trip to Hull Kingston Rovers on Sunday, May 20 as well as the clash against Wakefield Wildcats the following weekend.
