Cristiano Ronaldo sets record for most-liked Instagram post by a sports star

Cristiano Ronaldo has set a record of a different kind after one of his Instagram posts became the most-liked on the social media platform of any sports star.

The Portugal international marked last week's switch from Real Madrid to Juventus by posting the words "Forza Juve" on his personal account, below a photo showing him in his new side's famous black and white home kit.

Four days on from the post being made, Ronaldo has surpassed 11.6m likes, setting a record for the most-liked photo posted by an athlete and the fifth-most liked post ever.
