Real Madrid star Karim Benzema 'spends £160,000 on diamond football'

Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has reportedly parted with around £160,000 for a football made of diamonds.

The France international is said to have contacted DWS Jewelry & Co duo Dave Bling and Will DaBoss about creating a 1,250-carat football.

According to TMZ, Benzema wanted the piece, which consists of 72,000 coloured diamonds and costs $250,000 (£159,300), to be displayed in his new home.

Benzema's love life has been in the headlines of late, as he has been linked to popstar Rihanna and the ex-girlfriend of Belgian footballer Axel Witsel.
