Danish journalist 'identifies' Dave Kitson as Secret Footballer

A Danish journalist has claimed to have identified Dave Kitson as anonymous columnist The Secret Footballer.

Kian Fonoudi of Danish TV claims that there are 14 clues to the writer's identity, and that the Oxford United striker is the only player to match them all.

Fonoudi arranged to interview the 33-year-old, and says that one question was enough for him to confirm his suspicions.

The Secret Footballer has written a regular column for The Guardian and published two books.
