The latest winner of BBC television series MasterChef, Simon Wood, has become executive chef at League One side Oldham Athletic.
Wood, 38, was crowned MasterChef champion earlier this year and has now left his previous job in IT for his first role in catering with the Latics, who he has supported all his life.
He told the club website: "It's phenomenal. If you can combine your love of football into one thing, especially with your home town, then you can't write your own job description better than that.
"I've already written around 18 sample dishes since I've found out I'll be coming here. I've been putting my time into writing menus and we will be good to go."
Oldham begin their campaign in League One next month with a trip to Walsall on Saturday, August 8.
