Danny Simpson 'proposes to Tulisa Contostavlos with a hula hoop'

Newcastle United right-back Danny Simpson has reportedly jokingly proposed to his girlfriend Tulisa Contostavlos with a hula hoop.

The 26-year-old is believed to have asked The X Factor judge Tulisa to marry him by putting the hoop-shaped crisp on her wedding finger on a night out with friends.

"What a night! Ended up engaged ha," Simpson told a friend, according to The Sun.

Despite the comment, it is believed that the pair, who have been dating for the last few months, are not planning to get married.
