Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has revealed that he caught a shark during a recent fishing holiday.

The Dutch international shared a video of himself attempting to reel a fish in, only to realise that he had hooked a shark as it got nearer to the surface.

The 31-year-old released the shark, who appeared to be accompanied by two pups, after securing the footage.
