Valdes's wife slams United for charity event snub

Victor Valdes's wife has hit out at Manchester United for not inviting her husband to the club's annual charity dinner at Old Trafford.

The Spanish goalkeeper has been made an outcast by manager Louis van Gaal following an alleged bust-up.

On Sunday night, the club hosted their annual UNICEF event, but Valdes was nowhere to be seen, despite still being on United's books.

Valdes's wife Yolanda Cardona took to Instagram to write: "To not invite my husband @vicvaldes1 to be part of the #united4unicef, it's the last thing you expect from one of the biggest clubs like @manchesterunited. A Charity event, it's always a Charity event."

Cardona accompanied the message with a picture of United's Spanish players and their partners at the event.
