Wayne Rooney to be questioned by police for photographer 'assault'?

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could reportedly be questioned by police over an alleged assault on a photographer who was standing a few feet away from him.

Chris Gleave has claimed that he was hit in the head by a man while the 56-year-old was taking photos of Rooney and his wife Coleen arriving at a Rihanna concert in Manchester.

"I'm sore," Gleave told The Mirror. "I spent the night in hospital and had a CT scan. I was just so bad they were worried that I had internal bleeding.

"I was just photographing Wayne Rooney and this guy just punched me in the back of the head. As he hit me I turned round and he just laughed in my face and walked off."

The 27-year-old England international was spotted for the first time since undergoing a second hair transplant.
