Manchester United's Wayne Rooney holidays in Portugal with family

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has reportedly chosen to relax in Portugal with his family while recovering from a head injury.

The 27-year-old was ruled out of England's World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine after suffering a cut to his forehead during a collision with teammate Phil Jones in a United training session.

According to the Daily Mail, Rooney has checked into the five-star Conrad hotel in Algarve with his children and wife Coleen.

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that Rooney could have plastic surgery to cover up the scar from his injury.
