Wayne Rooney celebrates 30th birthday with United teammates in hotel bash

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney celebrated his 30th birthday with his current and former teammates at a bash in Liverpool on Sunday.

The striker attended the party at the Hilton Hotel just hours after he failed to score in a goalless draw against fierce rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Bastian Schweinsteiger, who joined United in the summer, attended Rooney's bash along with his tennis star girlfriend Ana Ivanovic, while Phil Jones and Chris Smalling also showed up with their partners.

Rooney's former teammates Jonny Evans, Wes Brown and Darren Fletcher were on the guestlist, as were current teammates Michael Carrick and Ashley Young.
