Manchester United 'searched hotel for bugging devices prior to Liverpool clash'

Manchester United reportedly organised for their hotel to be searched for bugging devices prior to Saturday's match against arch rivals Liverpool.

Louis van Gaal's team executed a 3-1 victory at Old Trafford, but it appears that the Dutchman was concerned about his rivals before the match.

According to the Manchester Evening News, security men used devices to check a meeting room at the Lowry Hotel before Van Gaal discussed tactics for the game.

The report adds that the Premier League giants have been checking hotels for more than a year after a bugging device was found in a meeting during the 2013-14 season.
