Coleen slams Wayne Rooney's critics on Twitter

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen has hit out at jibes against her husband on Twitter.

Coleen was sent abuse on the social networking website following reports that Rooney is 'angry and confused' by claims that he will be used as a back-up striker at Old Trafford.

The mother-of-two tweeted: "Grow up you gang of cranks!!

"Hahahaha love a little twitter rant!!! Everyone has there own opinion!! Fair enough!! Now time to enjoy this beautiful weather!! #bye"

United, who have maintained that Rooney is not for sale, rejected a bid from Chelsea for the unsettled forward this week.
