Tomas Berdych: 'I'm a big Manchester United fan'

Czech tennis star Tomas Berdych has revealed that he is a "big fan" of Premier League champions Manchester United.

While the 27-year-old focuses on tennis for his trade, the world number five likes to keep track of the Red Devils, who he witnessed lose 2-0 to Barcelona in the 2011 Champions League final.

"I am a big fan of Manchester United," Berdych told the Daily Mail. "I had a chance to go and watch the Champions League final when they played Barcelona at Wembley. Unfortunately they lost but it was a pretty big experience."

Berdych is expected to compete at the US Open next week, despite recently suffering a shoulder problem.
