FIFA dismisses England striker Rhian Brewster racial abuse claim

A complaint of racial abuse made by Rhian Brewster is dismissed by world governing body FIFA due to a lack of clear evidence.

FIFA has dismissed a complaint of racial abuse made by England and Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster during last year's Under-17s World Cup.

The 18-year-old alleged that Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White was abused during the Young Lions' 5-2 win over Spain in the final.

Due to a lack of clear evidence, however, world football governing body FIFA has said that no action can be taken.

UEFA last month announced that no action would be taken against Spartak Moscow youngster Leonid Mironov, meanwhile, following a separate allegation of racism made by Brewster.

England Under-18s international Brewster is reportedly being considered for a promotion to Liverpool's first-team squad next season after impressing at age-grade level.
