Roy Hodgson allows England players to have ketchup following previous ban

England defender Phil Jagielka reveals that manager Roy Hodgson allows the team to eat ketchup, despite it previously being banned under Fabio Capello's regime.

England defender Phil Jagielka has revealed that manager Roy Hodgson allows his players to eat ketchup, despite the condiment formerly being banned.

Under former manager Fabio Capello, the Three Lions players were unable to add the sauce to their meals, but Hodgson is evidently more relaxed.

"There can be too many rules," BBC Sport quotes Jagielka as saying. "If Fabio didn't want anyone to have ketchup there was no ketchup. Roy allows us ketchup if we want."

Tomorrow, England will take on Lithuania in a Euro 2016 qualifier, before facing Italy in a friendly next week.
