Ex-Chelsea, England star Frank Lampard joins BBC team for Euro 2016 coverage

Former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard joins the BBC's punditry team for its live coverage of Euro 2016.

Former Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard has been named in the BBC's punditry team for its coverage of this summer's European Championships in France.

The 37-year-old, who now plies his trade in MLS for New York City FC, will join regular presenters Gary Lineker and Gabby Logan.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will also be part of a panel which includes Thierry Henry, Rio Ferdinand and Alan Shearer, who is a regular on Match of the Day.

Robbie Savage, Neil Lennon and Gianluca Vialli will provide their insights across the BBC's TV and radio coverage, which will total more than 140 hours of live broadcasting.

The radio team will comprise Mark Chapman, Caroline Barker, Dan Walker and Kelly Cates.

The broadcaster will show 26 live matches during the month-long tournament, while BBC Radio 5 live will provide 24 days of on-air coverage.

The tournament kicks off on June 10.
