Jose Mourinho has thrown his Community Shield runners-up medal into the crowd at Wembley this afternoon.

The Chelsea manager, who had just seen his side defeated 1-0 by Arsenal, took the decision to give his medal away as he headed down the tunnel towards the dressing rooms after the final whistle.

According to BT Sport, it was caught by a 10-year-old Arsenal supporter.

Meanwhile, speaking about the match, Mourinho insisted that his team would have been worthy winners.
