Chelsea announce plans to help supporters meet the cost of their Champions League trip to face Qarabag in November.

Chelsea have announced that they will look to help subsidise the cost for fans travelling to Azerbaijan for their Champions League game with Qarabag.

The Blues have been drawn in Group C of Europe's elite competition, giving them ties against Atletico Madrid, Roma and the Azerbaijan Premier League champions.

Supporters wishing to follow their side to Azerbaijan for the encounter on November 22 face a 3,300-mile trip to Baku lasting almost six hours, but the Premier League champions will look to assist with the cost of the jaunt.

In a statement on their website, Chelsea said: "With the return journey to the far east of the continent totalling almost 6000 miles, the club have lowered the cost of official Thomas Cook Sport packages to help ease supporters' financial burden. The game takes place on Wednesday 22 November.

"Packages include a one-night stay in Baku and are on sale now to season ticket holders and members, in line with the club's ticketing policy. Please note, the trip is based on minimum numbers travelling.

"Prices start at £359 per person and include travel, transfers and one night's accommodation in a four-star hotel. Match ticket prices are currently unknown and the cost will be added to your booking when confirmed."

Antonio Conte's side begin their Champions League campaign at home to Qarabag next Tuesday.
