Borussia Dortmund ban supporter for four years for Nazi salute

Borussia Dortmund have handed a four-year stadium ban to a supporter who was caught doing a Nazi salute during their Bundesliga game against Stuttgart earlier this month.

A picture on Dortmund fanzine Die Kirsche showed the bare-chested man wearing red tracksuit trousers and a black jacket with his right arm up in the air while celebrating Robert Lewandowski's goal in the side's 6-1 home win on November 1.

Last season's Champions League finalists have announced that on November 4 they banned the man from all stadiums in Germany until June 30, 2017.

The incident was brought to the attention of the wider public audience by Spiegel Online.
