Suarez delivers signed shirt to cancer patient

Luis Suarez has visited a young cancer patient in Uruguay to deliver a signed Barcelona shirt as promised earlier this year.

The striker and his wife surprised the youngster, known only as Mateo, by dressing up in a white doctor's coat on a trip to the hospital in Montevideo.

Dr Ney Castillo, who is treating Mateo, wrote on Twitter: "Today the brave children of the Scremini Perez foundation have two marvellous doctors to visit them. Thank you Luis and Sofia."

Suarez initially talked with boy in May during a surprise video call, and promised to visit with an autographed shirt from the La Liga champions if he continued to take his medicine and follow his doctors' instructions.
