Lionel Messi has released a photo of his new Adidas boots, which he will wear for the first time in Barcelona's opening Champions League game this week.

The Catalan giants take on APOEL at the Camp Nou on Wednesday in their first group match of the campaign.

The former Ballon d'Or winner will don a pair of new adizero f50 boots, which have the name Thiago stitched onto the sides in tribute to his son.

The 27-year-old displayed his new boots with a photo on Instagram.
