Aston Villa's Alan Hutton 'involved in fight outside pub in Scotland'

Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton was reportedly involved in a physical altercation outside a pub in Scotland while trying to defend his family.

The 30-year-old is believed to have been walking past the Thistle Bar in Hurlford, Ayrshire, with his wife Kylie and mother-in-law Janie following an evening at a bowling club when the incident occurred.

According to the Daily Record, he and his family were verbally abused by people stood outside of the pub, which was hosting an end-of-season awards bash for an amateur football club.

The report adds that Hutton stepped in as his wife and mother-in-law were "shoved about", which reportedly resulted in rib injuries for Janie.
