Ex-Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien's car 'stolen from driveway of his UK home'

Essien's car 'stolen from driveway'

A vehicle parked on the driveway of former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien's Surrey home has reportedly been stolen.

The 32-year-old now plies his trade at Serie A club AC Milan, but the Ghanaian still owns the UK property.

Surrey Police have told the Daily Mail that thieves took off with a Range Rover Vogue, while a Mercedes and BMW belonging to Essien's neighbour were also stolen on the same day.

A police spokesman told the publication: "Officers have carried out a number of enquiries including extensive house to house in the local area and the investigation remains ongoing at this time."

The property is located close to Chelsea's Cobham training ground.
