Canadian rhythmic gymnast Patricia Bezzoubenko has won the sixth medal of her maiden Commonwealth Games, adding a bronze to her five golds in Glasgow on Saturday.

The 17-year-old began the day by winning the individual hoop, ball and clubs events, adding to her individual all-around title and her gold in the team event from earlier in the competition, before securing bronze in the individual ribbon event.

Bezzoubenko told reporters: "I am proud. This is my life and my accomplishments. I feel amazing, here at my first Commonwealth Games.

"I am happy for my country and my coaches. So happy to compete for Canada."
