Arthur Nabarrete Zanetti wins men's rings gold

Brazil's Arthur Nabarrete Zanetti has won gold in the men's rings final this afternoon.

Nabarrete Zanetti produced a flawless display in the last performance of the competition to take the gold with a score of 15.900.

China's Chen Yibing was the man who missed out to the Brazilian at the last possible opportunity, having to settle for silver with a score of 15.800.

Italy's Matteo Morandi picked up bronze by scoring 15.733, just beating Russian duo Aleksandr Balandin and Denis Ablyazin, who finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Bulgaria's veteran gymnast Iordan Iovtchev, appearing in his sixth Olympic Games, could only manage a seventh-place finish.
