Tom Watson: 'Ryder Cup is not over yet'

USA captain Tom Watson praises Europe for their "great" showing on day two of the Ryder Cup, but reiterates that his side can still bounce back to take the crown.

Captain Tom Watson has warned Europe that his USA side have the ability to bounce back and win the Ryder Cup.

Despite seeing USA reduce the deficit to one point in the morning session, Europe dropped just half a point in the afternoon to ensure that they have a four-point advantage going into the third and final day at Gleneagles.

"We have come back from 10-6 before," BBC Sport quotes Watson as saying. "They know it and I'll reiterate it. Our rookies played some magnificent golf and we have the players to come back. Credit to the Europeans, they played some great golf. It seems the foursomes is their forte."

Graeme McDowell and Jordan Spieth will open up tomorrow's singles action.
