Patrick Reed "cannot wait" to make Ryder Cup debut

Patrick Reed says that he "can't wait" to make his debut at the Ryder Cup this weekend at Gleneagles.

Team USA's Patrick Reed has admitted that he is feeling "really excited" ahead of making his Ryder Cup debut.

The 24-year-old, who has won two PGA Tour titles this year, will compete in the showpiece event for the first time in his career at Gleneagles this weekend.

"I'm really excited, I just can't wait," Reed told reporters. "Golf is an individual sport, when I go to the golf course normally, I pop on my headphones and have tunnel vision on what I have to do, but this week is completely different. It is a lot of fun.

"Golf is normally a lonely sport but here it is different and the camaraderie we have is great. We are all confident and feel like we are playing well."
