Shane Lowry has established a two-shot lead at the US Open but many of the leading players are yet to complete their third round at Oakmont.
With the tournament organisers still playing catch-up after the storms that occurred on Thursday, only three of the top 11 players are in the clubhouse but when darkness set in on Saturday evening, Lowry was top of the standings with four holes to play as he chases his first Major crown.
The Irishman currently sits clear of Andrew Landry - who continues to defy his world ranking of 624 - while Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson are in a share of third place, three shots adrift of the leader.
At one stage, Johnson led the field but two bogeys and a double bogey has left him with work to do when he returns early on Sunday morning to complete his final five holes.
South Africa's Branden Grace occupies sixth position after finishing his third round on one-under-par, while world number one Jason Day and American Bryson DeChambeau are five shots off the lead but are also in the clubhouse.
Defending champion Jordan Spieth is down in 29th position after a level-par round on Saturday, but Masters champion Danny Willett is further down the standings in 51st place.
