Thomas Bjorn pulls out of US Open

Denmark's Thomas Bjorn has pulled out of next week's US Open after suffering from neck and shoulder injuries.

The 43-year-old will not feature at Pinehurst following the sustained injuries, despite showing impressive form recently.

Bjorn held a five-shot lead at the PGA Championship at Wentworth in May.

Richard Sterne, 32, and Tiger Woods have also pulled out of the competition.
