America's Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III has described the wall of noise created by Bubba Watson and Ian Poulter on the first tee this morning as "amazing".

The duo whipped up the crowd into a frenzy and the usual silence as players take their shots was replaced by chants of "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole!" from the visiting Europeans and "USA, USA, USA!" from the Americans as Poulter and Watson teed off.

"It was amazing," said Love III. "We literally ran over here from the driving range to make sure we didn't miss it.

"It was fun trying to see [Watson hit his shot]. I don't know if I could have hit it, I would have topped it into the car park."

America currently lead in all four morning foursomes on day two and you can follow live coverage on Sports Mole by clicking here.
