America's dominance in the foursomes on day two of the Ryder Cup continues thanks to Zach Johnson and Jason Dufner's consistency against Sergio Garcia and Nicolas Colsaerts.

Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson hold a narrow lead over Nicolas Colsaerts and Sergio Garcia in the third foursomes match on day two of the Ryder Cup in Chicago.

After a halved hole on the first, Johnson found an accurate 7-iron on the par-three second to set up a birdie that the Europeans couldn't equal.

The third was halved with pars before Colsaerts, the hero of yesterday's fourballs for Europe, missed a short putt at the fourth to hand the home pair a 2-up lead.

Dufner and Johnson couldn't get away, however, making a bogey on six to give the Europeans hope of bringing the match back level.

Seven and eight were halved before Garcia found a tidy approach to the ninth and Colsaerts tickled in the birdie. It wasn't good enough to bring the match back all square though as Dufner's putt just crept in.
